Application Scope
Compressor inlet
Air filter outlet → turbo compressor inlet. Cold side.
Compressor outlet
Hot-side charge air → intercooler or intake manifold.
Intercooler connections
Charge air transfer. Pressure and temperature sensitive.
Intake manifold
Throttle body, plenum, and last-section connections.
Custom multi-bend

Each position has distinct geometry requirements. Development starts from drawing, sample, or dimensional reference.
Routing Logic
Form Follows the Routing Path
Direction changes, diameter transitions, and packaging constraints determine which geometry applies. Geometry is confirmed from drawing, sample, or dimensional reference before tooling.

Shape Accuracy
Fitment Is the Core Requirement
A bore off by fractions causes installation conflict or sealing failure. A bend angle or length that deviates from the routing path creates clocking problems, bracket interference, or slack under thermal cycling.
Geometry is locked from a confirmed drawing, sample, or dimensional reference before tooling. Inconsistency between batches is a fitment problem and a commercial liability.
Bore Accuracy
Inner diameter must match pipe OD precisely. Loose fit causes leakage; over-tight causes installation conflict. Both become fitment liability at repeat order.
End-to-End Length
Routing path length determines connection clearance. Too short: cannot install. Too long: slack or misalignment under thermal cycling.
Bend Radius & Angle
Tight radii may cause kinking in unsupported hose. Multi-bend formed hoses hold geometry through mandrel-based production.
Packaging Space
Engine bays constrain routing. Geometry must clear heat sources, brackets, and moving components. Fitment review is part of development.
Construction
Construction Follows Air-Path Position
Inlet conditions, outlet temperature, boost pressure, and routing geometry all influence the appropriate layer count and compound.
Single-Ply VMQ
Air filter connections, low-temperature intake routing.
2-Ply VMQ
General turbo inlet and outlet routing under moderate conditions.
3-Ply VMQ
Elevated temperature or pressure. Turbo outlet downstream of compressor.
4-Ply VMQ
Structural rigidity as primary requirement. High-output compressor outlet.
EPDM
Where temperature and pressure do not require silicone.
Polyester Reinforced
Woven polyester between plies for dimensional stability under pressure.
Program Consistency
The Tenth Batch Fits the Same as the First.
Dimensional drift, colour inconsistency, and fitment variation between batches create downstream product liability. For OEM and branded programs, consistency is a supply requirement — not a preference. Compound, tooling reference, and appearance criteria are held against the approved specification on every repeat run.
Same compound
Confirmed against approved specification on every repeat production run
Same tooling reference
Held against first-article approved geometry for dimensional repeatability
Same appearance criteria
Applied batch-to-batch for all programs with branded presentation requirements
Project Submission
From Routing Layout to Quotation
A drawing, sample, or dimensional reference is the strongest starting point. A routing description with bore diameters is enough to begin. Everything else is confirmed during geometry review.
Drawing, sample, or dimensional reference
Enables geometry review and production feasibility before quotation.
Configuration and general form factor
Straight, elbow, reducer, multi-bend, hump, or custom routing.
Bore diameter and routing length
Critical for fitment confirmation and tooling review.
Application position — inlet, outlet, or intake
Determines compound direction and ply count.
Appearance requirements
Colour, marking, logo embossing. State early — lead time implications.
Volume expectations
Annual forecast or order range helps material and tooling planning.
Geometry Review
Submit Your Turbo or Intake Project
Routing path, connection bore diameters, and flex requirements are the critical inputs. Construction is confirmed during review. Incomplete geometry is a normal starting point — fitment is always confirmed before tooling.
A photo, rough sketch, or routing description with bore diameters is enough to begin. No commitment required at inquiry stage.
